Adalah sebuah dasar atau metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan seberapa besar pinjaman yang dapat diberikan kepada debitur berdasarkan aset yang dijadikan jaminan.
Masing-masing bank mikro menentukan sendiri besaran LTV, namun demikian secara garis besar dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut:
1. Sertifikat kepemilikan Tanah (SHM): LTV = maks. 80%
2. Surat Kendaraan bermotor / BPKB : LTV = 60%
3. Deposito : Maks. 100%
Sebagai contoh, jika harga tanah sesuai nilai pasar (total) adalah Rp. 100.000.000,- maka pinjaman maksimal yang dapat diberikan adalah Rp. 80.000.000,-. Hal ini mengacu kepada dasar penentuan LTV untuk sertifikat kepemilikan tanah adalah 80%.
Namun demikian, sebuah bank tidak hanya memperhitungkan Loan To Value (LTV) dalam menentukan besar pinjaman yang akan diberikan, tetapi masih banyak faktor lain seperti kapasitas usaha, jenis usaha, karakter calon nasabah dan lainnya
